About us: All furniture production has stopped at Hafod Farm as everything takes a back seat to this fabulous heat & sunshine.
The camp site is filling up as the holiday makers and people climbing Snowdon, doing the 3 peaks challenge, or just barbecuing & playing football. This has kept us busy with the cottages going out as well. I had to get my camera out this morning with all the colour in the garden & in the sky........we are making the most of what is an unusual event in Snowdonia SUN, SUN & MORE SUN, long may it last!

About us We are still in shock as the mercury continues to rise. The high temperatures have had a great effect on the camp site as people realise that they will not need heaters & jumpers & we have had barbecues going on every night here for a week.......it's so nice to see families living outside & cooking outside. At the moment we have  2 Dutch families and a few nationalities that I could only guess at....In the cottages we have some racing drivers who are taking part in the National championships of something involving racing go carts (not my specialised subject) but I wish them all the best.
Meanwhile, on the furniture front, at the beginning of the week we had a photo shoot for the 'Not on the high Street' products we are selling. I hope you like the photos.

Tomorrow, if the weather holds I will blog about the gardens & camp site, they are so beautiful with a blue sky backdrop. Also I will be announcing the results of Patch's prize draw for our facebook likers....what fun I hope he doesn't swallow the paper!

About us: What a lot of Furniture

About us:We have just carried out a stock take in the barns and found out that we have quite a lot more furniture than we thought ready to go into the workshop. ME OVER BUYING!, surely not. It seems that old habits die hard. It used to be shoes, clothes and handbags, now it is wardrobes, chests of drawers, dressing tables, display cabinets, dressers etc. Pete now has his head in his hands, wondering how many months it's going to take him to restore, up cycle and paint it all.........I'd better make him a cup of tea & offer some encouragement!

About us: Today's blog is a rant (Pete's not home so blog readers are going to get it)
Websites are expensive & hardly anyone looks at ours. When I asked our IT guy how much it would cost to get up the google ladder he wanted a lot of ££££'000's. OMG, I didn't realise this......so I started to build up a facebook page & that has worked better and has nor cost £000's and I get to meet nice people with great businesses via ''hike those likes''

Today a little girl & her mother came in the shop, she reminded me of my daughter when she was about 4 years old & she asked her Mother if the Queen sat on a chair like this: That made my day, I forgot about my I.T woes and felt happy that life can be  as simple as you make it.
Sorry about the rant, but I feel better now.

Pink all over

About us: My fascination with our new colour theme continues: bedside cabinets, bunting, lloyd loom pieces, chairs. I'm off to the upholsterers now to find out what else I can cover in pink fabric........The last time I was this  mad about the colour was when I was 10 years old and my bedroom was a polyester pink paradise (they didn't do the nice shades then that they do now!)

Show room : Daily, there are interesting items coming out of the workshop, Pete is working hard to keep up with the designs I keep putting on his workbench. Pink is a big inspiration at the moment, as are oilcloth polka dots, chairs, chairs, chairs, all colours all types of fabrics & all mixed up in the showroom to create a crazed palate of colour.
 A customer came in today and brought lots of lace pieces. I didn't want to see them go & she had to wrestle the bag away from me! OH dear I seem to be getting too attached to my stock, that will have to change.

Another Bank holiday survived; cottages & camp site were full and the showroom open.

We've just discovered a lovely colour 'Calamine' by Farrow & Ball (reminds me of when the children had chicken pox) anyway, we've experimented with the first few pieces & I really like.......see what you think.

Hello & a very happy bank holiday weekend to everyone. Lets hope for some sun & warmer temperatures......especially for all our campers in tents over the next few days.
As is usual I have been down to the ''Welsh Cake Company'' & had a spend up....some of the cakes did not even make it back home!! If you like the like of them why not come over & enjoy.
Happy  40th Birthday  to Steve who is having his party here tomorrow & good luck to Liverpool in the FA cup final who are the favourite team of Pete & Gautam......even though I will be supporting Man City!!
Lots of lovely furniture coming out of the workshop this week, including the grey dresser with the cakes on it and the pretty bedroom suite in cream.
