Hello, as promised I have been out to photograph the silky hen who hatched an amazing 13 chicks under the holly hedge (probably to keep them away from the hurley burley of the hen sheds). We have now turned one building into a nursery so she can be quiet with them and another hen (Pepper) has joined her & is sitting on a clutch of eggs in the wood shavings bag!! There is also another one, again under the holly bush sitting on another 10 eggs.  The only thing we have to watch is Mama Cat & Baby Cat who are on the prowl outside the building..........I don't trust them a bit.
